This is new for me. Before I wrote this post, I never thought of pork and cabbage as lucky food for the New Year. Apparently, in Texas, this is the tradition! You do not have to mix the two ingredients together for Lady Luck to smile on you, but I suppose it would not hurt. The easiest – and most versatile – thing to make with cabbage is coleslaw. Take your pick from the plethora of coleslaw recipes out there. Here are some interesting ones that you can try for the best of luck in 2012.
